However, it appears that it will be exclusively available in that form, like Mountain Dew Sweet Lightning. On PepsiCo’s website, Mountain Dew Atomic Blue is detailed in 12-ounce cup (90 calories) and is listed under fountain drink. According to the description, Atomic Blue tastes like “MTN DEW with electrifying lemonade flavor.” Sounds like a good warm-weather flavor, right? Lemonade is typically pretty sweet, so it’ll be interesting to see how it blends with the soda. The new bright blue soda is listed on PepsiCo’s website, so we’d say this is as confirmed as you can get. Soon we’ll be able to get Mountain Dew Atomic Blue, and wow, does it sound good. The Twitter account then stated a tentative planned release date of February-March 2022 for a limited number of states. The line of alcoholic Mountain Dew flavors was officially announced on August 10th, 2021 by the official Hard Mountain Dew Twitter account, and three flavors were shown off for the first time: Original, Black Cherry, and Watermelon.
Despite this, Pepsi themselves aren't involved with Hard Mountain Dew. The line is manufactured by the Boston Beer Company, owner of alcoholic beverages such as Samuel Adam's, and distributed by Blue Cloud Distribution, a new subsidiary of PepsiCo. Hard Mountain Dew is a line of alcoholic Mountain Dew flavors with 5% alcohol, non-caffeinated Malt beverage with Natural Flavors, Artificial Sweeteners (Sucralose & Acesulfame Potassium), Certified Color, Zero (0 G) added Sugar, and FD&C Yellow #5.
